Elton D’Souza is to takeover as Vice President of the Network Management division (CN) at the Austrian Airlines Group from 1 January 2010. Until now, Mr D’Souza, who is 50 years old, has been employed at Swiss International Air Lines, which, like Austrian Airlines, belongs to Lufthansa Group. Says Austrian Airlines´Member of the Executive Board Andreas Bierwirth: “Elton D’Souza is a first-class specialist in his field. He was responsible for outstanding work at SWISS. We are extremly happy to be able to bring him to Austrian. He will strengthen our team enormously.”

D’Souza, who is an Indian and Portuguese national, will assume responsibility for Pricing and Revenue Management, and Network Planning as Vice President Network Management. He has been responsible for different positions at SWISS and Swissair since 1983. At last he has been responsible for the division Revenue Management, Pricing and Distribution as Managing Director.
